"I guess the fact that i was able to make something from NOTHING...damn i'm great. And i love the fucking FAME...and my fans too, i guess.."
She was born on February 22, 1978. Her parents were about as horrible and abusive as you could imagine, which impacted her mental health pretty severely.
when she was 9, CPS took her away from her parents, and she spent the next 5 years going back and forth between foster homes and mental hospitals, at fourteen, she was finally adopted by a loving family who payed for her to go to a fancy highschool for the one thing she cared about(music)
There, she met Carmen Rosewood (they were on ok terms back in highschool ok) and Valentina Coffins. They became friends and spent a lot of time investigating the complex supernatural lore of the school. The three of them lived in an apartment during that time.
after highschool, Carmen and Val moved to different places, leaving alyssa alone in the apartment, she never paid rent and got kicked out to live on the streets. From 1996-1998 she was homeless, living on the streets, addicted to various drugs, barely staying alive, had not talked to carmen or val since highschool.
One day, carmen recognized alyssa while driving, and stopped to pick her up. Alyssa stayed with Carmen for a while (while realizing they had certainly grown apart and got into frequent fights) during this time her mental health was at an all time low.
Val had reunited with Carmen and introduced her to Fennik, a friendly+funny guy who happened to play drums. Val invited them to form a band together. the agreed. Alyssa was able to get back on her feet by now, and proposed they named the band "Equanimity." Everyone liked that name, so they went with it. Later, alyssa met zeke at a party and invited him to join the band.
in late 1998, they realeased their first album. Although it didn't gain a ton of attention, they were still proud of themselves for releasing it to begin with. Alyssa and fennik started dating which helped her a lot through the tough times. In 2000, they released a second album, and went on tour, gaining fame+fourtune-alyssa's dream. In 2002, the realeased an ep, then a 3rd album in 2004. (With plenty of touring and moreee fame)
in late 2004, Alyssa's mental health began growing worse and worse. in late 2005, they realeased one more album. She attempted suicide a few weeks later but failed (nov 13, 2005) she recorded a final song with the band on January 7th, 2006. The last month of her life was pure misery. On February 12th, 2006, she committed suicide and succeeded. The band disbanded after that. Not all stories have happy endings.
"Rest in peace Alyssa Thorne. You were the love of my life, and will live on forever in everyone's hearts and the music you created."-Fennik Pruitt, 2006.
