1.) Introduce yourself! What kind of art do you make?

Hey there! I'm Rowan/lokissu, I switch between styles, idk just look above haha

2.) How long have you been making art?

I've loved drawing forever and i've called myself an "artist" for as long as i can remeber...I got real serious around 2024 or so but ive always loved it!

3.) How many hours do you spend for each piece?

Way too long for how bad my art is, around 2-8 hours per drawing if it's a full drawing, simplistic stuff takes a lil less time.

4.) Do you prefer taking your time or do you like to quickly move on to the next thing?

When i'm inspired i lock in real hard and take my time for sure, but i get artblock very easily and in that case i tend to rush...

5.) When do you decide a piece is finished?

When I adjust the color scale and add a signature, just whenever it looks nice

6.) What part of the creation process do you enjoy the most?

I like rendering and shading.

7.) What part of the creation process do you dislike the most?

Lineart and coming up with what exactly to draw in the first place.

8.) Do you have a designated workstation or do you just work wherever?

i sit on my bed like a bum.

9.) Do you monetize you work or is it purely a hobby?

I post it i mean does that count? I used to want and audience but i gave up now its an enjoyment thing. though i don't have anything to motivate me now...

10.) Where do you share your work? On social media or a personal websites? Do you keep to yourself and close friends?

personal websites and social media, but not any super popular ones. i like toyhouse, pixilart, etc.

11.) What's an aspect of your art you enjoy?

I like my use of colors

12.) What are things you would like to improve on?

always annatomy. and faces. and i want my old artstyle back.

self taught n still learning...

Little of both

15.) What do you value more, experimentation or mastery?

Expirimentation, this stuff is for me idgaf if people like it

17.) How frequently do you do studies?

Like once a month or so, i really need to do more but drawing from a refrence feels like torture to me

18.) Do you understand color theory? How'd you learn or do you want to?

I seriously LOVE!! color theory. i love colors, i love examining them irl too. it's great.

19.) Favorite color(s)?

I LOVE all colors, my brain accoicates certain vibes with each color and they're all awesome! I tend to lean towards warmer colors but i also love blues and greens sooo

20.) Are there colors you avoid? Do you think ugly colors exists?

There are no ugly colors!!! I use 'em ALL!!!

21.) Can you do perspective?

Depends on THE perspecive, some i can do some i cant. I tend to avoid major perspective though its pretty easy to mess up

22.) Do you like doing lineart? How do you go about it?

I HATE lineart it's so tedious omg. I make kind of thicker lines and thin them down with the eraser usually. make sharp edged shaper yk.

23.) Do you have multiple unfinished projects? Will you ever get to finishing them?

dont even get me started...i give up easily.

24.) How do you start a new piece? Do you have a plan or just figure it along the way?

I just start drawing, if i dont have art block it comes together.

25.) How do you handle art block?

I get it BAD!! i just force myself to draw things. try to change up artstyle and draw things i wouldnt normally draw. using lots of refrence too. but that doesnt even work usually, just gotta wait it out.

26.) Do you listen to music or watch something while working?

Both!! I love watching scary videos and internet mysteries, and also videos aobut my interests. And of course i gotta listen to musiccc! #1 music fan

27.) When are you most motivated to create? In the morning or evening? Rainy or sunny?

late at night when my house is completely silent

28.) Are your sketchbooks messy or aesthetically pleasing?

Bit of both. it changes

29.) Do you like showing sketchbooks to others?

depends on the person. only close friends who are fine with a little bit of cornyness

used to have way more. I got a couple irl. Idk how to make an online friend without someone introducing them.

31.) Do you collaborate frequently with your friends? Is there something you'd like to work on together?

used to. i love collaboration.someone collaborate with me.

32.) Have you created art to gift to others? How do feel about parting away from your work?

ya. I'm fine with it. i like the memory.

33.) Have you drawn for someone else? Like commissions or requests? Did you enjoy it?

yes many times. i dont like it if they KNOW im drawing for them. a lot of pressure to do good + finish it fast. i often lose motivation and even get artblock when draw for others because i get very perfectionistic

One time (many times) my hand has gotten stuck bent for hours. does that count?

36.) What's a medium of art you've wanted to try / currently attempting?

i wish i could 3d model. also i wish i could animate. im just not talented enough, sadly.

37.) Do you prefer stylized or realistic art?

I LOVE both. i really admire the creativity that goes into stylization but also i really admire the precision and attention to detail that goes into realism.

38.) Do you like hyper-realistic art?

It give me a lil uncanny valley. realism is great but when its so realistic it looks like somebodys head got flattened onto the canvas i get creeped out tbh. It's very impressive though!!

39.) Do you like abstract art?

Depends on the type! Classic old abstract art is beautiful. idk about modern abstract art though...two squares...very meaningful.

41.) How do you feel about outsider art? Do you think you fall in that category?

I like it honestly, feels kinda sureal and i love that stuff

42.) Do you follow art trends?

not really. im not a fan of "trends" so unless its something i really like/something that really inspires me then nah.

43.) Do you think your art is influenced by what's currently popular?

NO! n i would neverrr want my art to be like that.

44.) Do you compare yourself with others? Does it affect you negatively?

sometimes. it gives me art block.

45.) Your controversial art take?

Being "heavily inspired" by someone else's art style is kind of weird...Obviously they don't own it but if its a style unique to that person, being inspired by them and them only is weird, find other inspos too! Your style is meant to be unique to you! I feel bad when i see someone straight up steal another artist's style, every damn aspect. a style, which btw, probably took that person years to build and hundereds of influences, just to be full on copied.

46.) Art related pet peeves?

People who use "stylized anatomy" as an excuse to just suck at annatomy. NO! It's not just 'stylized annatomy' if you don't have a grasp of the annatomy to begin with (it's okay, i'm guilty of this)

47.) Who or what are your inspirations?

I kinda just do my own thing. I had a major artstyle change in 2025 + i have a lot of artstyles. My main style was inniatlly inspired by paswg along witha lot of other artists, but it's kept on chaging with time, ive lost count of the influeces atp.

49.) Have you touch grass recently? Do you go out frequently or do you spend most of your time indoors?

Uh huh. I go outside at least once a day usually, i mean i have a life after all

no, i havent completed a peice in like 3 weeks rn because of art block

a lot. whenever i have artblock.

Idrgaf unless the concept of the drawing itself is cringe. I like to see my improvement

yeah and then i get offended and try to "quit art" dramaticcuhh

not rlly, i barely post anymore, and i dont like showing anybody but close friends my art soo. I love them somebody glaze my art.

It's dumb. 8 year old me invented it though i remeber always saying "i wish there was a way to just make art that you come up with appear out of thin air without drawing" LOOK WHERE THAT GOT US!! If it's for non commercial purposes, it's not AS bad since at least it isnt taking a job (it still sucks though dont take me outta context) but oh my GOD when i see a company unsing it i get genuienly pissed off. yall literally HAVE money...what are we DOING. like they should just make a law "no ai use for commercial purposes" BAM! problem solved! We get our jobs! oh also #savewater

59.) How do feel about tracing? What about tracing 3d models to streamline art process?

I honestly hate it. I get surprised by how many people say it's fine. which is whatever, if you have a different oppinion than whatever. but like im surprised so many people were mad about that new artfight rule. but that's my oppion, i guess i get it...

My brain. i dont like refrences unless its something idk how to draw or a particular character.

refrences is fine, it's hard for me to so i find it impressivr. TRACING refrences is a crutch though.

no. i use and ipad n ibis paint, sometimes procreate. and pencils and paper.

STUPID if its in some "ohhh i love authority and being controlled!" way. I don't like censorship at all. if its not nsfw or sexualizing something that shouldnt be sexualized then it's not inappropriate. side note what is peoples beef with drawing of ADULTS having revealing outfits. especially when its not even in the slightest bit sexual. how brainwashed are you to see a cropped shirt or some shorts and think "she needs to cover up." Feels like we're going backwards because i SWEAR let women wear what they want without being ashamed. its so stupid that i even have to talk about this. WOAH! HUMAN BODY!!! AHH SO SCARY! Omg.

I mean i dont really find myself drawing anything bad so why would i, I only censor stuff on toyhouse because people on there are hella traumatized or something. idk it's pretty damn easy to make people mad at you there so i play it safe

YES AND IT HAS AND I HATE ITT rip when my art didnt suck.

A ton. you'd be surprised how many of my drawings start off full body and then get cropped because i dont feel like drawing allat.
